Although the first year of the Chubby Menard Pancake day is unknown, it is alive and well! For more than 30 years, Batesville Kiwanis has hosted Pancake Day. Although many stories have come from Pancake Day, including when it was held in the local bus station and a grease fire broke out; locals flock to the fall tradition.

These days, the Pancake Day is held in October at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on Main Street. Pancakes, sausage, and milk are served from 6AM utnil 6PM.
